A review of Country Reports
from Central and Eastern European countries with widely different
development status was carried out by well-known experts as
part of the Research Programme of the Central European Land
Knowledge Center. One of the main objectives of this study
were to assess the extent to which land administration, land
registration and other land related issues and problems are
analyzed and integrated into policies and strategies, and
to highlight and identify areas for improvement.
The country reports
consist of the sections
land administration and registration,
financial and legal framework,
ownership structure, policies, statistics, and information sources.
Furthermore, the experts have outlined and gave suggestions for
envisaged future projects. Particular focus has been placed on the
identification of existing institutional and financial framework and
legal regulations.
These country reports want to give a general overview
of land market development in CEE countries with a special
emphasis on land reform, land privatization, land consolidation,
and land fragmentation, which is still one of the major problems
in CELK Center's beneficiary countries.
